Urea Breath Test – Helicobacter pylori – Infectious Peptic Ulcer.
Urea breath test is use as diagnostic test for the presence of Helicobacter pylori which cause peptic ulcer. Isotope of carbon, Carbon-13 is used to label urea which is orally in taken and hydrolyzed into carbon dioxide and ammonia by ureases produced by H. pylori.
