  1. Outrageous! It’s an ultimate KO! Within the family we used to use iPhone, but I’ll get a mate 30 pro one each for my son, my husband and I, just to show my FULL support. ⛽️⛽️⛽️⛽️⛽️⛽️

  2. I'm wondering how p40 features will be.. Zoom until Mars.. 😂😂But surely the camera will be more exciting.. Huawei is next level…

  3. Meanwhile Apple and Samsung: The Mate30 seems powerful! Time to summon our greatest demon lord!

    "Time to declare National Emergency!"

  4. As I’ve said before, there is a learning in this for Yu himself. The consumer boss claimed a new “faster than Android” OS would be available soon after the blacklist came into effect. As it transpired, though, we were given HarmonyOS which isn't a replacement for Android on smartphones at all. And then, when Google dropped its support for the Mate 30, Yu told us that phones would be unlocked as a workaround. Now that doesn't seem to be the case. There’s some message management required.

  5. Android Authority has now reported that a Huawei spokesperson reached out to them to clarify that, despite Yu’s comments, the company has “no plans to unlock the bootloader on Mate 30 devices” after all.

  6. So, put very simply, Huawei’s smartphone boss said the company would make a change to enable a complex install of Google services onto Mate 30 devices, and then the company reached out to say he was wrong and that’s not the case at all. Not good. Publicly awkward and another Google disappointment for potential Mate 30 buyers.

  7. the 'anti-peeping tom' feature is useful when you are in public places be it on train, bus where someone behind you might want to read your messages. On the video, maybe its a workmate, not his wife.

  8. The notch surely is for 3D face unlock. Gestures are just gimmicks. By the way, LG has them too. The face orientation feature is nice, but hardly the reason why they went with a notch.

  9. Well…few more years…we will all be like Tony Stark…just giving every command to Jarvis… air gestures is just a start

  10. Remember when everyone thought that the reverse wireless charging on the huawei mate 20 pro is a gimmick as well? but now its highly useful to charge our watch and earbuds. That's exactly whats going to be with the gesture control. That what innovations ia all about
