Doraemon comics leave Malaysia
For nearly 25 years, Doraemon comics have been translated into Malay in Malaysia, filling the imagination of many children in the country. Now, the comic’s print run is coming to an end; its publisher Penerbit Tora Aman closing down because of rising costs and falling sales.
What does this mean for comic books in Malaysia, and will Malaysians continue to read about the adventures of Japan’s most famous robot cat?
