Our iMac review was pretty positive, but we got to thinking: If we’re going to want external graphics anyway, does a Macbook just make more sense?

  2. Love anthony, he clearly has a deep understanding of the tech which is lacking in the industry imo (no offense to anyone in particular i'm just a huge nerd for it)

  3. I am one of those "professionals" you speak of. I run 3 photography companies and routinely process 2,000 images per weekend in my busy season. These files are 45MP images and many times they are stacked (5 and 7 image HDR's). I currently run a 2011 iMac (and finally lost my mind and decided to sink some profits into a new machine). The Macbook obviously gave me some mobile options that may be beneficial at some point. However when I looked at the COST of a Macbook Pro equipped properly, PLUS a suitable monitor for my desktop work…versus….the price if an i9 2019 iMac plus SSD drive/ 64GB of RAM etc….there was a clear winner. The iMac is still the right choice. One photographer's opinion certainly.

  4. I’m really interested in what people think about a high-end iMac vs a base iMac Pro. There are a few differences between the two with just a small price difference.

  5. I’m looking for a new computer, and I thought to switch to Apple instead of PC, but in my research I found is a bad time for Apple. But I really want to switch because I’m tired of PC. Idk if was my HP laptop or what, but I’m sick of how slow it is, the annoying noise of the fan and the unlimited bugs and glitch that even resetting it, they don’t stop.
What I mostly do is write and make research in the web, sometimes I read a PDF file and make Power Point presentations, but as MacBook’s keyboards have problems, I’m considering the iMac, I would prefer the portability of a MacBook, but I’m willing to sacrifice it so I can switch, and as I already have an iPad, it’s portable, it’s not a laptop, but it can help.
So, what do you recommend? I buy a MacBook, an iMac or a PC? In PC I’m considering a ThinkPad or a Dell.
